Farm visit activities include:
- Feeding the animals
- Brushing & washing the animals
- Tending to the Vegetable garden
- cultivating the land
- Giving out lots of cuddles
Farm yard friends include:
- Minature Pigs
- Dwarf Pygmy Goats
- Llamas
- Minatiure Donkeys
- Pony
- Guinea Pigs
- Baby Doll Sheep
Becoming a Farmyard Friend
On your first farm visit you will receive an orientation/induction and a tour of the farm to meet all the animals, and learn how the farm works. We will also cover the different activities available to you as our new farmyard friend. Each Farmyard friend will need to bring their Support Worker who will remain with them for the duration of the visit unless prior arrangements have been agreed too with our Farm Hands. There is no charge for Support Workers, and we would love them to take part in the activities.
These initial tours are one-on-one with you and your support worker and you will have our undivided attention and exclusive access to all areas and animals. This is also an opportunity for us to learn about and develop a plan for your future visits based on your interests and goals.
Our animals have all been conditioned to be around people and have people in their enclosures with them. They love interactions and their welfare is very important to us therefore when we enter an enclosure it is always the animal’s choice to interact with us and if they have had enough attention they will simply walk away (we avoid using food to entice animals to interact as this can create behavioural issues).
Down On The Farm is not open to the general public and we only allow a maximum of 4 participants on the farm at each session.
Participants and their support worker will be paired up with a Farm Hand and usually spread out in different enclosures so often you will have the animals all to yourself.
Please Note:
While the farm is relatively flat the walkways are grassed and maybe a little uneven in places, so if mobility is something that may impact your experience we will discuss this with you prior to any booking being made.

Cancellation Policy
Sessions are to be paid prior to the visit to secure your booking. If a session is cancelled by the Farm Hands due to weather or other extreme circumstances they will be rebooked for a more suitable day.
